We said four parts. We meant four parts. But… we have one more thing to talk about. 😂
Throughout our Choosing an ABA Provider series, we’ve talked about what to look for in a clinic, what questions to ask, how to understand a provider’s philosophy, and how to tell whether a treatment plan is truly individualized.
But there’s one important question we haven’t covered:
What if a clinic isn’t the right setting for your child or family?
ABA doesn’t only happen inside a clinic. Depending on your child’s needs, available providers, and insurance coverage, services may also be available in your home or through telehealth.
So consider this our bonus installment. 💛

It doesn’t have to be All or Nothing
Depending on the provider, your insurance requirements, and your child’s needs, services may involve more than one setting or delivery method. Examples include: direct services in-home + caregiver training via telehealth.
Before deciding on any provider, check with your insurance first. In-home and telehealth services may not be covered by your specific insurance plan, so checking before deciding what you want to pursue is important.
